Quick Chana Masala

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 red onion large
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 29 oz can of chickpeas
  • cilantro optional

Instructions

  1. Chop onions, tomatoes, and garlic.
  2. Heat coconut oil and combins onions and cumin seeds. Saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add garlic, garam masala, and turmeric and saute to form a paste about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes and sea salt and mix well. Saute for about 5 minutes until tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add chickpeas and saute for another 5 minutes. Top with lime juice and cilantro leaves.
